Aussie Animals Education uses artificial intelligence tools responsibly to support the creation, review and improvement of educational resources.
This statement explains how we use AI, what we do not use AI for, and how we apply human review before publishing resources.
This statement should be read together with our:

1. Summary
Aussie Animals Education may use AI-assisted tools to help create, edit, organise, review or illustrate educational resources.
AI may assist with tasks such as:
- brainstorming resource ideas;
- drafting educational content;
- improving wording and structure;
- creating activity ideas;
- creating image prompts;
- generating or refining illustrations;
- checking readability;
- identifying possible curriculum links;
- improving product descriptions;
- supporting editing and proofreading.
However, AI is not the final decision-maker.
All published resources are intended to be reviewed, edited and checked by a human before release.
2. What we currently do not provide
Aussie Animals Education does not currently provide:
- AI chatbots for students;
- AI tutors;
- AI marking or grading tools;
- automated student assessment;
- student progress profiling;
- personalised learning algorithms;
- student-facing generative AI tools;
- AI tools that students log into;
- AI tools that collect student prompts or responses;
- AI-based behavioural monitoring;
- AI decision-making about students.
Students are not required to use AI to access our resources.
Students are not required to provide personal information to any AI system through Aussie Animals Education.
3. Human review and editorial control
AI-generated or AI-assisted material may contain errors, omissions, bias, outdated information, misleading wording or inappropriate suggestions.
For this reason, we aim to apply human review before publishing resources.
Human review may include checking:
- factual accuracy;
- age suitability;
- curriculum relevance;
- Australian spelling and terminology;
- classroom practicality;
- cultural sensitivity;
- safety wording;
- readability;
- image suitability;
- copyright and licensing considerations;
- consistency with the Aussie Animals Education brand and educational purpose.
Where specialist, legal, medical, psychological, safety or curriculum authority advice is required, users should seek appropriate professional advice.
4. Curriculum and factual accuracy
AI may assist with drafting or organising curriculum-aligned materials, but AI outputs can be inaccurate.
We make reasonable efforts to check curriculum references, scientific information and teaching content before publication. However, curriculum frameworks, codes, official guidance and scientific information may change over time.
Teachers, schools and parents remain responsible for checking that a resource is suitable for their students, school context, curriculum program and local requirements.
5. Images and illustrations
Some Aussie Animals Education resources may include AI-assisted images or illustrations.
AI-assisted images are used to support educational engagement and visual learning. They may be edited, selected, refined or rejected by a human before publication.
AI-generated or AI-assisted images may not always be perfectly accurate. For example, an animal illustration may unintentionally include incorrect body features, proportions, markings, habitat details or behaviours.
Where scientific accuracy is important, we aim to review images carefully and may use diagrams, labels, notes or corrections to reduce the risk of misunderstanding.
6. Privacy and student data
Aussie Animals Education does not require student personal information to create or use our resources.
We do not knowingly enter student personal information into AI tools.
Teachers, schools, parents and users must not send us student personal information, student work, assessment records, health information or other school records unless we have expressly agreed in writing and appropriate privacy arrangements are in place.
Users should also avoid entering student personal information into third-party AI tools when using or adapting Aussie Animals Education resources.
More information is available in our Privacy Policy and School Use & Privacy Summary.
7. Responsible AI principles
Our approach to AI-assisted content production is guided by practical responsible AI principles, including:
- AI may assist, but humans review and make publishing decisions.
- We disclose that AI tools may be used in the creation of content and images.
- We aim to check factual, curriculum and scientific information before publication.
- We do not knowingly use student personal information in AI tools.
- We review resources for age suitability, classroom suitability and obvious safety concerns.
- We aim to reduce biased, inappropriate or exclusionary content.
- We accept responsibility for the resources we publish and correct issues where appropriate.
- We update our processes as our products, tools and obligations develop.
These principles align with broader Australian responsible AI expectations, including transparency, accountability, privacy, security, reliability and human-centred values.
8. AI limitations
AI tools can produce outputs that are incorrect, incomplete, biased, outdated, unsafe or misleading.
AI tools may also produce images or text that appear plausible but contain errors.
Users should not rely on AI-assisted content as a substitute for professional judgement, school policies, curriculum authority guidance, safety advice or specialist expertise.
We encourage teachers and schools to review resources before use and adapt them to their students and learning context.
9. Feedback and corrections
We welcome feedback about errors, inaccuracies, accessibility issues, cultural concerns, safety issues or other concerns in our resources.
If you identify a possible issue, please contact us with:
- the product name;
- page number or section;
- a description of the concern;
- suggested correction, if available;
- your contact details.
We may review the issue and, where appropriate, correct, update or withdraw the resource.
10. Future AI features
If Aussie Animals Education introduces AI chatbots, AI tutors, automated assessment, personalised learning features, student-facing AI tools or other AI-enabled services in the future, we will review and update this statement and related policies before making those features available.
Additional privacy, safety, security, testing and responsible AI controls may be required before any student-facing AI feature is introduced.
